PDF Anything
Review the rows before they enter your books.
Use a text-based PDF, keep source evidence beside the transaction, and treat a visible mismatch as something to investigate—not something to hide.
Get started with a bank statement
- Open PDF Anything and choose Bank statement.
- Select one born-digital PDF in the free web app. Try the invented sample first if you do not want to select a financial document.
- Choose the date order and number format when the statement requires a regional interpretation.
- If prompted, enter the PDF password. It stays in active memory and is not uploaded or saved.
- Review every transaction. Use the source panel to compare page, line, raw date, and original text; then edit or exclude rows as needed.
- Check opening balance plus movement against closing balance. Resolve blockers, choose Excel or CSV, and start the local download.
Supported inputs and limits
- PDFs with selectable, extractable text.
- The public web app processes one statement at a time, up to 25 MB and 100 pages.
- Password-protected text PDFs when the correct password is entered locally.
- Common statement tables containing dates, descriptions, amounts, debit/credit columns, balances, and currencies.
Image-only scans and photographed statements require OCR and are not supported. Bank layouts vary; successful extraction on one statement is not a promise that every layout from that bank will match.
Understand review warnings
- Unresolved date: choose the intended date order or correct the row before export.
- Mixed currencies: verify that unrelated totals or conversion lines were not interpreted as transactions.
- Reconciliation mismatch: compare included rows with the statement, correct or exclude false rows, and acknowledge the difference only when you intentionally need the file.
- Missing metadata: a selected accounting format requires account or institution details before it can be created.
Windows Pro formats
The Windows Pro edition adds batches of up to 20 statements, 500 pages, and 250 MB, plus QuickBooks CSV, Xero CSV, QBO, OFX, and QIF. A failed or unsupported file can be skipped without discarding statements already processed in the batch.
Those exports create a file only. PDF Anything does not sign in to, connect to, or import into QuickBooks, Xero, a bank, or another accounting service. Validate the reviewed file in the intended accounting workflow before relying on it.
Retrieve a paid Windows Pro license
After Paddle confirms payment, the license page normally opens and retrieves the matching key automatically. If checkout closes before that happens:
- Open the license retrieval page.
- Find the line labelled Transaction on the Paddle receipt. Copy the complete reference beginning with
txn_, not the invoice number. - Paste the reference, choose Retrieve my license, then copy the key into Activate Pro in the Windows app.
The recovery page sends the reference only to the Needly Labs license service and does not add it to the web address. If retrieval still fails, email support with the Paddle invoice reference and the visible error text. Do not send card details, a bank statement, or a license key.
Clear active data
Choose Remove, reload, or close the app to clear the selected document and derived data from active memory. Downloaded outputs remain wherever you saved them. To remove the installable web shell, uninstall the app or clear site data forpdf.needlylabs.com.
