Information stored by Needly Autofill

Needly Autofill stores the profile information you enter in your browser’s local extension storage. This may include your name, contact details, address, professional links, skills, employment history, education, and cover-letter text. If you choose a CV, Needly Autofill also stores that file locally.

Needly Autofill uses this information only to fill fields and, if enabled, attach your saved CV on supported job application pages at your request or when automatic filling runs. Attaching a CV may cause the employer’s application provider to upload it immediately. Needly Autofill never submits the application.

Needly Autofill also stores a local count of successful fill actions, whether you tried the bundled local demo, and whether you dismissed or opened the optional review invitation. This state is used only for the setup checklist and to avoid repeatedly showing the invitation. It is never sent to Needly Labs or anyone else.

What Needly Labs does not collect

Needly Labs does not collect, transmit, sell, share, or analyze your profile information or CV. Needly Autofill has no analytics, advertising, tracking, remote code, or Needly Labs backend. Data remains on the browser profile where you saved it unless you export it or attach the CV to an employer’s application. Browser or device synchronization is not enabled by Needly Autofill.

Optional support reports

After filling, you may explicitly export a support report. It contains the extension version, application provider, page origin and path, visible field labels, and match decisions. It does not contain saved profile values, entered answers, or CV contents. The report downloads to your device and is never sent automatically; you decide whether to share it.

Your controls

You can export a copy of your profile and CV, import saved data, remove or replace the CV, or delete all locally stored data from the extension’s settings. Uninstalling the extension also causes Chrome to remove its local extension storage.

Supported pages and actions

Needly Autofill runs only on supported Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, and Ashby pages listed in its extension manifest. It fills recognizable form fields and can attach the saved CV only to a recognizable empty CV or résumé upload. It does not replace attachments, attach other files, or submit applications.
