One operational loop
From confirmed shipment to reviewed order.
- 01
Record inbound stock
Add the supplier reference, expected date, and exact variant quantities.
- 02
Opt in deliberately
Enable only the variants that should receive a Shopify preorder option and supported date.
- 03
Allocate and recover
Orders reserve the earliest eligible incoming units. Shortages stay visible instead of silently moving promises.
Merchant controlled
Consequential actions stay visible.
- Draft, cancelled, arrived, unsynchronized, and zero-capacity shipments fail closed.
- DueIn does not forecast supplier reliability or invent incoming quantities.
- Customers see supported dates, receive a transactional email when a promised date moves later, and can request cancellation in Shopify Customer Accounts.
- Shopify cancels and refunds only after authorized store staff distinctly confirms the full-order action.
- No analytics, advertising, tracking pixels, or unrelated customer collection.
